SUMMARY
Provides leadership and direction by articulating the company’s vision to store associates. Initiates actions to accomplish the strategic business plan. Maximizes sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction through merchandising, inventory management, expense control, and human resources management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Store Manager is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:
- Enables the store to effectively meet sales and profit goals, as well as changing customer Promotes cross merchandising between departments and executes weekly and seasonal display changeovers while maintaining price accuracy.
- Communicates effectively with customers and store associates. Focuses on continuously improving programs and methods to enhance the customer experience. Motivates associates by improving morale, teamwork, and engagement. Empowers associates to resolve customer issues promptly and Conducts daily associate huddles and weekly management meetings to discuss information, priorities, goals, accomplishments, directives, and changes.
- Maintains all aspects of store conditions, presentation, and appearance. Ensures adequate product varieties and quantities to meet customer demand while ensuring freshness and minimizing shrink. Controls and organizes backroom inventory to allow for maximum efficiency and

- Enhances community relations by involving the store in local events and
- Complies with federal, state and local laws governing store operation as well as company policies and Ensures safety, sanitation, proper use, and maintenance of facilities and equipment. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:
Education and/or Experience
Minimum requirement of a high school education or GED and 4 years of retail store experience. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field desirable.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

This position requires a valid driver's license for business travel.
