Role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst. This individual will be instrumental in supporting the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis in the development of business intelligence within the organization. This role will work closely with the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis in delivering analytical services to all functions of the organization. Position will perform analysis of product performance, profitability, marketing campaigns, budget & performance reporting, competitors, and investment opportunities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
30% - (Financial Management) - Develop financial and data models utilizing the credit unions data warehouse and BI tools. Create analyses leveraging benchmarking and business process analysis (e.g. pipeline/sales conversion cycles, product mix, clients trending, etc.). Conduct thorough research through data mining of historical financial and member data. Prepare revenue stream projections. Forecast quarterly and annual profits.
30% - (Quantity) - Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions. Build business cases to explore investment options and present risk and opportunities. Conduct department financial reviews with key department leads in order to identify opportunities and risks. Continuously seek to improve efficiency, reliability and integrity of deliverables. Continuously strive to develop personal business/financial acumen and leadership skills
20% - (Teamwork & Cooperation) - Prepare Board and Executive Team Presentations. Participate in budgeting for business unit, departments, resourcing and projects. Coordinate with the cross functional teams to obtain timely and accurate data. Coordinate with all functions and retail business lines of the organization.
20% - (Productivity) - Prepare Department Budgets and Performance Analysis. Prepare product pricing research and analysis - Draft Pricing Committee Presentations. Adhere to, propose and enforce financial policies.

Expectations:
- Knowledge of forecasting, financial modeling and cost accounting processes in a financial services organization/industry is key requirements for this position
- Experience with Credit Union operations is a plus.
- You will perform complex financial analyses on budgets, operating results and business plans. Prepare forecasts and analyses on business unit and general economic trends.
- Research and provide financial and business related analyses to assess the impact of business cases, investment options and propose business unit financial policies.
- Research and track products and pricing across the industry and competitive benchmarks.
- Create dynamic reporting using credit union BI tools to assist leadership team in decision making.

- Ability to communicate clearly and to be understood in English, both in writing and verbally, by telephone and face-to-face.
- Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality.
- Read small print for extended periods.
Basic Qualifications:

- Proven work experience as a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst or similar role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Expertise in MS Excel and Access (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas)
- Strong PowerPoint skills
- Experience with SQL and databases / data warehouses
- Experience with Power BI, financial and statistical modeling
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts
- Familiarity with reviewing contractual terms and conditions
- Demonstrable strategic thinking skills
- Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
- BS degree
- Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g. CFA/ CMA/CPA) is a plus
- Working knowledge of Jack Henry Epysis, Profit Star, or equivalent core operating/ budgeting software a plus
