Southern Nevada Apprenticeship Programs may be picked upon the 3rd Thursday of any month between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm: Complete applications (which include copies of the required documents) maybe returned by mail or in person any weekday during business hours. There are no pre-set dates for Entrance Exams; however, after dates have been determined, Applicants who have turned in complete applications will be notified by mail with the date and time that he or she has been assigned to take the Entrance Exam.
APPLICANTS FOR THE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: 1. Legal resident of the U.S.–no less than eighteen (18) years of age. 2. Must have a high school diploma, G.E.D., H.S.E., or transcripts showing graduation date. 3. Must have legal state-issued birth certificate (not hospital certificate). 4. Veterans should provide copy of DD-214 or discharge papers. 5. Survey applicants must have educational background in Algebra and Geometry. 6. Proof of work experience, applicable to the program, may be presented (on company letter head) detailing hours/years of equipment operated/work performed; Trade school certificates or letters may also be presented. Note: Any submitted documents that are printed in a language other than English must be accompanied by a notarized English translation. Must “show” a picture I.D. when testing. Valid driver’s license is required upon entry into the program. APPLICATIONS MAY BE PICKED UP at the Richard W. Dieleman Training & Education Center located at 11450 E. Nadine Petersen Boulevard, North Las Vegas, Nevada 89124. Testing (when scheduled) will also take place at this location.
