Business Analyst
In this fast paced, professional role within the Midland Mortgage Contract Administration department, the Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and executing on a regular basis, new processes, projects, and tools geared towards successfully executing mortgage loan acquisitions and/or mortgage servicing transfers collectively referred to as “transactions”. The Business Analyst will continuously evaluate opportunities to optimizing existing processes and tools, build effective internal and external relationships, and lead projects with a focus also on successfully executing transactions.
Principal Responsibilities
Research and evaluate value-adding processes and tools in the current business environment that should be expanded or enhanced; lead effort to expand or enhance these processes and tools.
Research and evaluate the broader business environment to determine areas in which new processes and tools are needed and can be developed in order to maximize efficiency and revenue; lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of new business solutions that have been identified.
Lead cross-functional teams as necessary in order to successfully implement business solutions
Occasionally act as the primary point of contact between the contracting counter-parties and internal management during mortgage servicing transfers
Produce and maintain project status reports pertaining to new business solutions implementation efforts and mortgage servicing transfers
Occasionally serve in a program management role for active transactions
Organize and lead project meetings
Effectively communicate key issues, milestones, and deliverables to stakeholders internal and external to the organization; drive resolution of issues and proactively mitigate risks
Collaborate with management and staff in coordinating and facilitating due diligence and transfer processes while identifying and reporting potential risks with the portfolio
