Our Government Finance division offers a vital service to cities, counties, schools, fire districts and other municipal entities by helping them secure the financing necessary to grow and serve their community. The Credit Underwriting Associate is a non-client facing position and is the initial review and data entry of all credit submissions to the Underwriting Officer. You will handle an array of credit requests from both the municipal and nonprofit fields, giving you the opportunity to learn about the nation-wide impact of lending. Credit Underwriting Associate position provides an opportunity to learn what happens behind-the-scenes at a financial institution while also providing a path for personal and career growth and development.
A high degree of accuracy, strong attention to detail, and the ability to start (and complete) tasks without constant supervision, are necessary skills for optimal growth. Friendly, but pragmatic, personalities tend to fit well with the job demands; in rapidly changing rate environments, time can literally be money, and client emotions may run high—we need someone who is able to separate their work objectives from the stress that others may bring to the conversation. Those who get a thrill from successfully meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment and relish the opportunity to continuously learn new things will find satisfaction in this position. No previous or special training necessary. Training will be provided.
Employee benefits include 401k, health, dental and vision insurance and paid time off.
