Utility Rate Analyst Attention
The Colorado River Commission of Nevada is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Utility Rate Analyst. This is an unclassified position at-will full-time exempt position within the State of Nevada. An applicant should have a thorough knowledge of utility budgeting, accounting, and rate-making principles. Knowledge of federal utility accounting and rate making principles is preferred. A working knowledge of the principles and theory of electrical power generation and transmission. A thorough knowledge of forecasting techniques and a strong ability to analyze data using mathematical concepts and statistics in order to draw reasonable conclusions from that data. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Graduation from an accredited college or university in one or more of the following disciplines: Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Business, and four years of increasingly responsible experience in one or more of the of the following areas:
- Utility accounting, finance or rate making
- Power system planning, engineering, and/or operations; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related industry.
State benefits, salary $75,000 to $113,506 per year depending on experience.
