JOB DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS
Under the supervision of the Education Specialist and the leadership of the Preschool Teacher, administers a program of early childhood education that is developmentally, linguistically & culturally appropriate; meets the individual & holistic needs of preschool aged children; assists the preschool teacher implement the curriculum. Works as a team member with other staff, parents, and volunteers. Assumes Preschool Teacher duties in the temporary absence of the Preschool Teacher.
Qualifications: Child Development Associate (CDA), a degree in early childhood education, or enrollment in a program that will result in a CDA or college degree within two years of hire. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.

Working with children and families since 1975, Centro has excelled at managing early outreach and educational programs among under-served communities in both urban and rural areas.
Today, Centro operates five rural Head Start centers and nine Head Start childcare partnerships as well as a portfolio of outcome-based programs for elementary, middle and high school students, and programs for adults that provide the tools and skills necessary for self-sufficiency.
