Full Time Assistant County Attorney
Assists and advises the County Attorney in the prosecution of crimes, the enforcement of child support, and the protection of children and vulnerable adults. Primary caseload will include Felony and Gross Misdemeanor prosecution. Acts as legal counsel for all county departments and agencies. 4-yr degree from accredited college or university & Juris Doctorate degree from accredited law school. Licensed by State of MN to practice law. 45 hrs. of continuing legal education every 3 years. 3 years experience preferred, but not required. Position is currently in Grade Level XIX with a 2020 entry-level to midrange hourly wage of $31.56 to $35.12, depends on qualifications. Eligible for a 6% pay market adjustment after 3 years of service and a 12% pay market adjustment after 6 years of service as a Brown County Assistant County Attorney.
