Reports directly to the Chancellor & serves as the chief academic officer for the university. Directly leads the academic divisions & staff members engaged in planning, budgeting, accreditation, assessment, library services, & workforce development.
Qualifications: include a doctorate degree from a regionally accredited university, 5 years of leadership experience in higher education administration with increasing levels of responsibility, experience in faculty development, general education, developmental programs, accreditation, program & curriculum development, budget development & administration, strategic planning, broad knowledge of educational technologies, understanding of diverse backgrounds of community college students & personnel, & strong oral & written communication skills.
Preferred qualifications include both community college teaching experience, community college administrative experience, & a working knowledge of the most current methods of successful delivery of education programs.
