Job Summary:
To provide appropriate, efficient and timely pre-hospital Advanced, Intermediate and Basic Life Support care and transportation of the sick and injured in accordance with local, state, national, and Acadian Ambulance standards of practice.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- National Registry Certification as an EMT-Paramedic (required in Louisiana and Mississippi)
- State Certification
- AHA Basic Life Support / CPR
- Advanced cardiac training, such as AHA ACLS.
- Valid state driver's license - Class D (Chauffeur's) in Louisiana; Class C in Texas
- Additional certifications in NALS, PALS, PHTLS, PEPP, and other specialized categories of care preferred but not required.
